Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern your access to and use of consumerhub.org and the VoyageTrust review platform (the "Site"), operated by ConsumerHub ("we", "us", "our"). By visiting the Site or submitting a review, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site. Our handling of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
1. Independence and Trademarks
VoyageTrust is an independent, passenger-run review platform. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or connected to Holland America Line N.V., Carnival Corporation & plc, or any related entity. Cruise line and ship names appear in plain text only to identify the subject of a passenger review or independent guide, and all such names and marks remain the property of their owners. We do not reproduce any cruise line's logo, photographs, site design, or marketing copy. See our Disclaimer for the full statement.
2. Use of the Site
You may use the Site for your own personal, non-commercial purposes: reading reviews, browsing guides, and submitting your own honest account of a cruise you personally took. You may not scrape, mirror, resell, or systematically copy Site content; interfere with the Site's operation or security; attempt to access moderation tools or other users' personal information; or use the Site in violation of any law.
3. Reviews and Submissions
Every review you submit must describe a sailing you personally experienced and must be your own honest opinion. You may not submit reviews on behalf of a cruise line, competitor, or agency, post the same review more than once, include another person's private information, or post content that is unlawful, defamatory, hateful, threatening, obscene, or deliberately false. All submissions enter a moderation queue before publication under our Review Policy, which also explains how to appeal a rejection.
4. Ownership of Your Content
You keep ownership of everything you write. By submitting a review you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to publish, store, display, format, and distribute it on the Site and in related promotion of the Site. You may ask us to delete your review at any time, from the email address you used, with no reason required. You confirm that the content is yours to submit and does not infringe anyone else's rights.
5. Our Content
Site design, editorial guides, original photography, and other materials we create are owned by us and protected by copyright. You may link to our pages and quote short excerpts with attribution; you may not republish substantial portions without written permission.
6. Moderation and Removal
We may edit for formatting, decline, unpublish, or remove any submission that breaks these Terms or our Review Policy, and we may suspend access for anyone who abuses the Site. We do not remove a review simply because it is unflattering. Positive and negative reviews are held to the same standard.
7. No Warranty
The Site and all content are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Reviews are unverified personal accounts, not statements of fact. Ships, itineraries, pricing, and cruise line policies change without notice — confirm details directly with the cruise line or a licensed travel agent before making any travel decision. Nothing on the Site is travel, legal, medical, or financial advice.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your reliance on reviews or information published on the Site or from any booking or travel decision. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Site is limited to one hundred U.S. dollars (US$100).
9. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claim, demand, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of content you submit or your breach of these Terms or of any law or third-party right.
10. Third-Party Links
The Site may link to websites we do not control. We are not responsible for their content, accuracy, or privacy practices, and a link is not an endorsement.
11. Complaints and Takedown Requests
If you believe a review contains an error of fact, private information, defamatory material, or content that infringes your rights, use the report link on that review or email moderation@consumerhub.org with the review's URL and an explanation. Our moderators investigate promptly.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The effective date above shows when they last changed, and continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to conflict of law rules, and the state and federal courts located in Florida have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute. Nothing here limits consumer rights that cannot be waived under the law where you live.
