Reviews are unverified personal accounts
We ask every reviewer to confirm they personally sailed on the voyage they describe, and a moderator reads every submission before it is published. We do not, however, check booking records, boarding passes, or receipts, and we cannot confirm that any particular statement in a review is factually accurate. Treat reviews as one traveler's recollection of one sailing, not as a statement of fact about a ship, a crew member, or the cruise line.
Balanced publication
Positive and negative reviews are held to the same standard and published under the same rules. A negative review is never removed because it is unflattering, and a positive review is never promoted because it is complimentary. Privacy of reviewers
Reviewers supply a name and an email address. The name may be published with the review; the email is stored privately, is never displayed on the site, and is visible only to moderators for verification and appeals.
Corrections and removals
If a review contains an error of fact, private information, or a statement you believe to be defamatory, use the report link on that review or email moderation@consumerhub.org. Reviewers may also ask us to delete their own review at any time, from the address they submitted it with, with no reason required.
