About VoyageTrust
VoyageTrust is an independent, passenger-built home for honest Holland America Line reviews. Whether you sailed to Alaska, the Panama Canal, or the Mediterranean, your story helps future travelers choose the right ship and itinerary.
Ship-level insight
Reviews are tied to specific Holland America ships, so readers can compare real experiences across the fleet.
Passenger voices
No account required to share a review. We verify by email and moderate every submission for authenticity.
Editorial transparency
We do not accept compensation from cruise lines. Our goal is clear, unbiased information.
How it works
Anyone can share a review — no account needed. Pick your ship from the full Holland America fleet, choose your destination, rate your voyage from 0 to 5 stars, and tell your story in your own words. Every submission is read by a moderator before it appears, which keeps the feed free of spam and fake reviews.
Why VoyageTrust exists
Cruise brochures show the best angles. Real passengers know the rest — the dining room service on night three, the cabin noise near the engine, the excursion that was worth every penny and the one that wasn't. VoyageTrust collects those honest accounts in one place, organized by ship and destination, so your next booking is an informed one.
Our stance on cruise reviews
We believe a review is only worth reading if it could have gone either way. A site that publishes only praise is marketing, and a site that publishes only outrage is noise. VoyageTrust publishes both, side by side, and lets the pattern across many voyages tell the story. A single bad dinner is not a verdict on a ship; twenty passengers describing the same cold dining room on the same vessel is worth knowing before you book.
That means we do not delete a review because it is negative, and we do not promote one because it is glowing. We ask only that it be a first-hand account of a sailing the writer actually took, specific enough to be useful, and free of private details, accusations presented as fact, or promotional content. Ratings run from 0 to 5 stars precisely so a genuinely poor voyage can be recorded as such.
How reviews are moderated
Every submission — with no exceptions and no privileged accounts — goes into a moderation queue before it is visible to anyone. A moderator reads it in full against our published review policy and either approves it for publication or rejects it. Rejected reviews are never shown publicly, and the writer can appeal by email.
Each review requires a name and an email address. The name may appear with the published review; the email is stored privately, is never displayed on the site or shared with anyone, and is visible only to moderators, who use it to verify a submission or handle an appeal. Readers can flag any published review with the report link, which sends it straight back to a moderator for a second look.
Independence
VoyageTrust takes no money from Holland America Line, from any cruise operator, or from any travel agency. We do not accept paid, incentivized, or employee-written reviews, and no one can pay to have a review published, promoted, buried, or removed. If that ever changes, it will be stated plainly on this page.
This site is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Holland America Line. All opinions belong to the passengers who wrote them. Read our disclaimer and review policy for details.
